I started Mamalicious Monday way back in the day. Okay, so when I say way back I mean July 2008 when I started The Posh Parent. My good bloggy friend, Danielle covered all things Mama fashion related. I then took it to another level and started a dance segment on New Baby. Now, with being a GLAMBASSADOR {yes, it must be in caps because it is that amazing} I decided to take it to another level and make it a "Tips & Tricks to being Mamalicious"
Where better to start then at the top? Your hair, girlfriends. Glamour's website has a great slide show of 39 Gorgeous New Hair Ideas that you must check out for some inspiration.

When I was in 6th grade I was voted "Best Hair". I only wish I had some rad picture to show you how wonderful my hair was. Actually, let me paint you a picture...I had long dark hair down to my mid-back and it was curly. Not the spiral curls like Mariah Carey had in the 90's, no I had curly as is poodle curly hair. I had spiral curly hair and decided it would be better if I got a perm! Someone {like my MOM!} should have stopped me. Nonetheless, I styled the heck out of my hair. I worked it so that it actually looked cool to have overly curly hair. Thank GOD it grew out and relaxed. Several girls actually got perms, too! I guess I started a trend in a way...enough so that they awarded me.
One of my style tips has always been "comb your hair before you leave your house". Even if you are just taking out the trash. Think about it, what if you left your house to take out the trash, your door closes behind you and you are locked out of your house? What do you do? Try to find a window to crawl into? Umm, yeah lady with the crazy hair crawling through a window...nice! Or, better yet you go to run a few errands and bump into an old friend. "Nice to see you again, Clarissa! So, what have you been up to lately? Let me guess...you have kids!" :) Please don't go around looking like you let your 5 year old comb your hair. All it takes is a little mousse, gel, pomade or hair pins and a hair tie and you can get something decent in a few minutes!
I will post a short video later this week to show you a few variations of a quick "do".
